The rollers are made with 316 stainless-steel frames, 150 mm aluminium tubes, and easy-to-use handwheels. All components and fittings are top quality, and the rollers are designed for a long life in a tough environment. The commercial-quality castors are of the non-marking type, and include strong locking brakes. Options include retractable overriders for protection of the blankets over starting blocks, and a protective vinyl suncover, firmly attached to the roller. |

Solazone can make your roller retractable, to neatly pivot away from over the edge of the pool when rolling up, to remain against the wall for storing. This ensures any water lost when rolling up falls back into the pool, leaving the deck area dry for use. Many pools have other unusual features that require the roller design to be adapted to suit the particular installation. Solazone make several models of motorised rollers, battery-powered for safety, designed to assist the staff at commercial pools. These rollers make all the difference for staff who have physical limitations, or who must work to a tight time schedule. It is often found to be more practical, safer for staff and quicker, using motorised rollers to cover and uncover the pool. Motorised rollers can also create more room around indoor heated swimming pools by being wall-mounted up high, and out of the way. Battery charging may be by a small solar panel, or from the mains.
