1500 watt Solazone Generator |

|
Grid-connected solar power systems are the very latest technology, and can be likened to having your own solar power station located on your house roof, that silently generates green electricity for your own use, or any excess can be sold to the electricity supplier, via the grid.
It is therefore not essential that the solar power system is sized to exactly match what your daily power usage is. If you generate more power than what you use, the balance is sold to the electrity suplier, and you can buy back any extra power that you may need, at any time, to cover any shortfalls. (eg. night time). Typically, this type of solar power system is sized to maximise the efficiency of the inverter size used, or the amount of funds available, or to take maximum advantage of any rebates available. There is no reason why you can't install a small solar power system initially, to help reduce greenhouse gasses and to reduce your power bills, and then add more solar panels later on, as extra funding becomes available. We have chosen a few of our most popular size systems, to illustrate what can be done. |
BP Solar panels
Latronics PV Edge inverter |
Solazone Aussie Powermakers are based on Australian - produced BP solar modules. These solar panels, made in Sydney, perform really well, and last for many, many years - 25 year output guarantee applies to every panel.
This is a perfect demonstration of Australian technology being applied to minimise greenhouse gas pollution, and to bring about a better environment for us all. Informed and environmentally - aware people are installing these systems to their homes now, as a safeguard for the future. These are people who have deep concern for what's happening to the planet, and feel that they can contribute to help the situation by minimising their footprint, and at the same time saving money on their power bills. It is a very wise investment, particularly as power costs continue to rise. These solar panels are coupled up to an Australian designed and made PV Edge inverter, that can be connected directly to the power grid, or to the grid via a stand - by battery bank, offering reserve power for a blackout. Quality Aussie made gel batteries are recommended in this case, coupled to a small stand - by inverter. A wind generator may also be added to this system, with minimum fuss. |

| Every GridPower solar system comes with a Sharp Solar panel array, a Fronius IG Grid - connected inverter, a Uni - rac roof mounting assembly, a pre - wired circuit breaker distribution board and all warning and emergency procedure signage.
The systems also come with detailed users manuals. GridPower systems are available in a range of sizes to suit your energy needs. They are particularly good for off setting the cost of running your air conditioner in the summer. The hotter the weather, the more these systems generate, making them a perfect balance for off setting the air conditioner or refrigerator loads. |

During this time solar power systems have become larger, safer, more reliable, and more complex. There are now several Australian Standards that cover the design and installation of solar power systems, ensuring that they are safely designed and installed, even for the most basic of solar power systems. ![]() We encourage people to fully understand the operation of their own "solar power station", and wish to assist you in any way that we can, to ensure you have reliable power. We keep up with the latest developments in the field, and present the best products for you to use. |

We are often asked to quote on a solar power system for a "standard" house. To date, after 24 years, we have yet to encounter the "standard house". Everybody's power requirement is different, and if you want a solar system that works, you must ensure that it's large enough to generate sufficient power for your needs, AND it must also provide enough power storage in the batteries to last you through periods of bad weather. For this reason we complete a power demand sheet for each client - it takes some time and a bit of thought - but it results in satisfied customers, who know what they're getting, what the solar system will do, and any design limitations. We would all like to be able to afford the biggest and the best solar system, but often there are cost constraints, which result in a compromise situation. For example, during rainy weather, you may have to run a generator when using the washing machine, etc. Use the sizing calculator below to estimate your power needs. People are often surprised by the first results of this exercise. Never mind - try it again - review whether you really need so many big lights running all night, and feed the figures in again. That is how we determine the ideal size your solar power system. To find the ideal battery size, and number of solar panels required for your newly sized solar system, or to get a written quote on a complete solar power system, email or fax us the load figures, and we can provide you with a detailed report, and current prices. Please include a contact phone number, just in case there's a question, or information missing. (I promise we won't pester you) |
