LVM transfer pumps

The LVM range of pumps can pump fresh water, sea water and several are also suitable for diesel.

LVM Brushless Pump

New from LVM, a brushless, seal less water pump. This centrifugal pump is designed for general, commercial and industrial uses. Ideal for circulation pump applications. It will pump fresh water, sea water and other liquids that are compatible with the pumps materials and that are of a similar viscosity to water.

Solar - powered piston transfer pumps

The solar powered lift pump systems use field - proven XF series, double action, single cylinder piston pumps powered by a rugged dc permanent magnet Australian - made motor. They offer reliability, dependability and low maintenance.
These motor / pump combinations are extremely flexible in their operation and allow either low head and large volume, or high head and lower volume operation - always making full use of the power available.
The solar powered lift pump systems are powered by Australian - made BP Solar modules, which are top quality and carry a 25 year output guarantee. The pumping systems utilise a quality Queensland-made power maximiser between the solar modules and the pump, to greatly boost the average daily water volume. (The volumes quoted are average for Victorian sunny day, and will vary for other parts of Australia)

There are two models of cast iron piston pumps available, both are of the highest quality piston pumps on the market, coupled up to 12 volt dc electric motors and a pump maximiser, to suit a variety of transfer applications. Further details of the smaller option will be posted shortly.
These pumps are ideal to transfer water from a dam, spring, creek or other water source, and water quality is not important.
The pumps are robust, very cheap to run, and require minimal maintenance. The pumping head and water volume can be increased by just adding more solar panels.
These pumps may be supplied as bare pump only, pump and motor kits, or complete solar-powered pump kits.

Average daily flow rates shown for a given head height do not take into account pipe pressure drops, which although relatively small, are different for every system. For accurate verification of flow rates in an operating system, the average operating pressure measured with a guage must be used, not the approximate static head height.

Shurflo pressure pumps

Shurflo pumps are reliable diaphragm pumps, made in the USA, and typically pump small to medium volumes of water over a medium to large head range. They have been found to be excellent for water transfer, showers, household water pressure and irrigation purposes. The water MUST be clean and free from particles to protect the rubber diaphragm. The low power draw makes them an excellent choice for solar powered houses, and they are available in 12 & 24 volt versions.

Shaftless spherical pump design - the only moving part in the pump cavity is the rotor / impeller unit. Eliminates start-up problem
Rotor / impeller glides effortlessly on ultra-hard ceramic ball - minimal bearing surface lowers starting torque requirements and improves motor efficiency. Very low energy consumption.
Modular construction. Standard screw ring construction allows switching motor without changing pump housing.

The Laing mag-coupled spherical motor design offers many benefits over other pump styles: it operates on extremely low input at a specified nominal voltage up to 24 volts; the spherical permanent magnet eliminates impellor slippage; the motor does not have a shaft is fully potted and has no moving parts; the pump has no seals; and both the drive and motor magnets have thick cross-sections that resist cracking due to thermal shock. The brushless motor has a lifetime of 10,000 hours when operated at 12 volts and can be powered directly by solar panels, battery or other dc power sources. The unique screw ring design for this series of pumps allows the changing of motors without changing pump housings.

Servicing the pump in-situ is easy with the unique screw ring construction. A twist of the screw ring separates the rotor / impeller and motor drive unit from the pump housing.

The rotor / impeller unit is free to spin and tilt, to allow small particles to pass through the system without jamming the pump.
