| Designed and manufactured in Australia, the SOLATRAKA is a reliable tracking system made for Australia conditions, that dramatically increases solar panel output by as much as 30%.
SOLATRAKA is capable of withstanding wind speeds of up to 60 metres per second, (around 200 kph.). Choose from 3 models of durable galvanised steel construction, coated with a tough enamel finish, designed to carry up to 18 solar panels, and fitted with reliable electronic controllers. The budget priced LD is a 6 module tracker, suitable for low wind areas. Davy Solatraka comes ready to mount on your 100mm (4") galvanised pole. Pole is not supplied, but may be easily obtained locally. Trackers are freighted direct from factory in Wodonga, Vic. Warranty period is 12 months. |

This is a two axis tracker, that does not use light sensors, but instead is based on a timer. The tracker does 15 moves each day, and even in very cloudy days, the tracker will be facing the right direction, ready for when the sun shines through. The timer that controls the array movement should be re-programmed 4 times a year to get maximum output from your solar panels. (This takes about 15 minutes) You will be delighted by the extra power you gain from the solar array. The tracker array frame comes pre-drilled for the solar panels (let us know what you are using), and requires very little maintenance as there are few moving parts. |
| It is critical that the concrete footings are correctly designed for the local area, to take into account the soil type and wind conditions. We do NOT specify footing designs, but can assist you to contact an Engineering & Building Services professional who will design one for you. * Without a soil test and properly designed footings the wind rating will be null and void. | |

Applications include water pumping, telecommunications, grid-connect power systems. remote power applications, domestic and commercial hot water, steam generation and air heating. The Hydrasolar Tracker is designed to provide a very efficient means of tracking photovoltaic panels for increased output. The system operates by thermally expanding a liquid creating hydralic pressure, that rotates a pv array around a fixed axis. The system is simple, rugged and very reliable, as no electronics or electric motors are used. All mechanical components are manufactured from materials selected for minimal maintenance and long life. When set up correctly, tracking accuracy can be held to within two degrees for most of the day, and returns automatically after sunset. Two different systems are available; tilt and roll design and a two axis, azimuth altitude system for increased output at lower latitudes. The system operates by making use of increasing air temperature in the morning, and increasing direct solar radiation in the afternoon. The expansion tube contains a liquid that expands at a predteermined rate, and the tube is shaded by the pv panel in the morning so thaty immediately after sunrise, the liquid starts to expand, forcing the hydraliccylinder and the attached gear rack to revolve aruond a pinion that is fixed to the N.S. axis tube thus rotating the attached solar array. As the day progresses the expansion tube swings away from the shade and is progressively exposed to increasing amounts of solar radiation and in doing so will track to within two degrees. The system does not need high temperature to operate, merely a temperature differential of approximately 15 degrees C, and will operate accurately in almost any climate. Seasonal adjustment, when and if needed, is accomplished in less than a minute. The system has built in wind dampening but can automatically unload forces under extreme conditions. Installation and commissioning of units is very simple and quick, taking only a few minutes to complete for smaller arrays. Hydrasolar trackers can be supplied as a complete kit excluding the standpipe, or as a partial kit inluding just the operating components without the solar panel frame members and the standpipe. The system includes full instructions, including hole locations for all popular solar panels, making the units universally adaptable. Four different standard tilt and roll models are available, from two square metres to six square metres of panel area. Larger units are available on request. |
