Pump Controllers for solar hot water
Controllers for 240-volt pumps.
Solar pump controllers measure the temperature difference between the solar panels and the bottom of the hot water storage tank and switch on the circulator pump when there is solar heat available to be collected. Some controllers also have ‘frost mode’ which starts the pump when the roof temperature approaches freezing, to protect the solar collectors from frost damage.
We stock and sell replacement 240-volt and 12-volt solar pump controllers, as originally supplied by various manufacturers. There are different models for different applications.
Aestiva Temperature differential pump controllers.
These controllers will work from any 240-volt supply. They are ideal replacements for troublesome controllers supplied with older solar hot water services. They have two tank temperature sensors and a solar collector temperature sensor.
Novus Temperature differential controllers.
These controllers will work from any 240-volt supply. They are ideal replacements for troublesome controllers supplied with imported solar hot water services.
They come already programmed and ready for immediate use. However, you can manually adjust the switch-on and switch-off temperatures and/or the differential.
Temperature differential controllers for 12-volt pumps.
These controllers will work from any 12-volt battery or from a small 12-volt solar panel. If you wish to run the pump directly through the controller, the solar panel must be large enough to power the pump as well as the controller.
