Thermal Pool Covers
Thermal pool covers are not transparent to solar radiation, therefore the solar heating effect is less than for solar blankets where good solar gain is possible. The big advantages of thermal blankets are the higher insulation value of the thermal barrier, the more compact size when rolled up, and the reduced friction when drawing the blanket on or off the pool. This makes them ideal for indoor pools and swim schools, where there is usually minimal solar gain when the pool is covered, and where junior staff may be employed to cover and uncover the pool.
This closed cell trilaminate woven UV stabilised polyethylene fabric is ideal for indoor or covered pools, where there is no solar gain to the pool surface. They roll up more compact than the bubble covers and are easier to slide along the water surface.

Reduces heating costs – When heated pools are left uncovered, the water temperature can drop by as much as 6 degrees C overnight. Heating costs are reduced by as much as $250 per month for a 50 square metre pool maintained at 26 degrees C. For large commercial pools, the savings are substantially larger, providing an excellent return on investment.
Thermal Cover virtually eliminates water evaporation, the major cause of water and chemical waste. It thus also provides significant cost savings in these areas.

The exceptional insulation and strength properties of Thermal Cover are a result of its unique flame bonded, multilayer construction. Insulation is provided by a closed-cell cross-linked polyethylene foam, one of the best insulating materials available. For added strength and protection, the foam is sandwiched between a tough, UV-stabilized woven polyethylene fabric and a black UV-stabilized polyethylene film. Both fabrics are waterproof, non-toxic, and chemically resistant.
Our Thermal Cover is lightweight, flexible, and can be made to fit any pool size and shape.
With the aid of a suitable roller, the pool can be very easily covered or uncovered, in minutes.
Rollers can be manually or electrically operated.
