In the Sunny Island System, electricity generators and consumers are integrated in equal measure. Sunny Remote Control

Sunny-Remote-ControlThe SMA Sunny Remote Control makes SMA off grid solar photovoltaic systems using SMA Sunny Island and SMA Sunny Backup even more flexible. The SMA Sunny Remote Control maximizes the ease of installation by moving the control unit to the outside of the inverter. With the SMA Sunny Remote Control, you can commission and monitor the SMA Sunny Island and SMA Sunny Backup conveniently without standing right in front of the inverter. The SMA Sunny Remote Control SRC-20 can be used at a distance of up to 20 meters and processes information from up to three inverters. The rotary switch allows intuitive operation. The four-line display gives you clearly arranged information on the current plant status at one glance. An SD card serves as the service interface for the inverter which adds to the simplicity of installing the SMA Sunny Remote Control SRC-20. Just one cable is needed for the electrical connection and communication. Plug it in at both ends – and there you are.

Its broad DC input voltage range makes configuration possible for almost any PV module. Thanks to the integrated MPP tracking system, the charger guarantees an energy output between 15 to 30 % higher than that of conventional shunt charge controllers. Unique in charge controllers of this power range: The high protection class, fanless operation and broad temperature range enable its use even under extreme climatic conditions. Multicluster boxesThe Multicluster Boxes for Sunny Island 5048 enable the formation of off-grid and hybrid systems with a capacity of between 30 and 300 kW. As the main AC distribution for the connection of generators and to supply loads of up to 300 kW, between two and 12 three-phase clusters, each consisting of three Sunny Island inverters, can be connected in parallel using the Multicluster Box. To simplify installation, all Multicluster Boxes are completely wired and fitted at the factory and have a main connector for PV plants or wind turbine systems. All communication cables required for the installation are included in the delivery.

The Smart Load is an electronic control for load resistors up to 6 kW from Critical Power Supplies optimized for the operation in Island grid systems with energy sources that only have a slow control or none at all Single phase or 3 phase input IP65

Intelligent dumpload for stand-alone grids

The Smart Load forms the perfect complement to unregulated energy generators in stand-alone grids, e.g., small, directly-connected wind generators with passive stall power control. If there is an electricity surplus, the Smart Load feeds it into special loads, for example, heating cartridges in a hot water tank. The necessary arrangement is completely automatic, fast and free of retroactive effects for other loads. This continuous and quick energy consumption allows for ideal protection of system components and guarantees increased reliability.
